Hey loves! Hope you had another great weekend, the weather here was beautiful. So I decided that I am going to start doing a weekly series called 'what I wore weekend'. Since I work a full time job at a law office, my fashion there is mostly limited to business/comfort. I'm fortunate that we are a small firm and we don't ever have to wear suits, dress pants, etc. I personally hate those, as I feel that no matter what accessories you pair with them, I always felt that "dress" clothes masked who I really was. Anyways, I digress. The weekends are my runway usually, where I am fully dressed and feeling it so I thought I would do a round up of what I wore and to what event I wore them too.
This weekend was pretty low key, Friday night me and Anthony walked up to my church's annual summer festival for dinner and meeting some family friends. Each year for the festival I kind of struggle with what to wear because a.) it's my church and these people have known me since I was 5, b.) I practically babysat for almost half of the families at one time or another, and c.) I want to look respectable and cute, but most of all, my age. Last year I was SO tan I wore itty bit shorts and a tank, see that pic HERE. This year I was happy the weather was cool enough to wear shorts (I have a bajillion bug bites on my legs) and to look a little less casual, I paired it with a lightweight off the shoulder blouse I got last year from UO. We enjoyed stuffing our faces with ribs, fries, cheeseburgers and funnel cakes. On Saturday we went to check out the Nordstrom sale (that's another novel long post for ya) and then went to a trendy Latin/Cuban restaurant where I tried all new food, and it was deelish. I usually like to go for dresses or skirts first, but I cannot get enough of this look: olive cargo skinnys, white crop top and cognac brown accessories. So easy and so chic!
