Updated Classics!

Feb 5, 2018

1) Amazon 2) Street Level 3) Treasure & Bond 4.) BP 5.) Good American 6.) Chelsea 28 7.) NYDJ 8.) Caliente 9.) Leith 10.) Rebecca Minkoff 11.) Free People 12.) Treasure & Bond 13.) Lulu's

Maybe its the mom in me now, but this spring for the first time ever I am so excited to re-work the amazing classic pieces I already own in my wardrobe instead of shelling out money for useless trendy items that a hundred other people will be pushing on Instagram. While shopping is an addiction of mine, I realized that I have some heart-worthy items that I'm pumped to challenge myself and re-style a bunch of different ways. Of course I bought a couple pieces for spring that are fresh updates on classic styles to freshen up my own closet.

Above are some of my favorite items I recently purchased and some I'm crushing on! Read on to see how to style them!

1. Distressed denim boyfriend jacket - I just bought this and the fit is slightly baggy. I'll be wearing this over a cute top, skinny denim and my new slides that happen to be #3! I'll also dress-down a cute dress by throwing this over my shoulders. I found this jacket on Amazon.
2. A chic bag with a gold hoop detail? Love! This bag is under $100, and even comes with a smaller bag inside. This brand is Street Level at Nordstrom, and is one of my favorite bag brands.
3. Slides have been hot since last year, but no fur slides for me. A pointy-toe slide in a modern color with an edgy detail is classy, chic and can update any look. I love the fresh white and plan on wearing these with everything. These are the Treasure & Bond x Something Navy at Nordstrom.
5,7,9. I'm a skinny denim lover for life, I think they are so flattering and chic and this spring I can't get enough of distressed styles and pairs with raw hems. I have #7 from NYDJ and they are literally as comfy as pajamas. I'm obsessed over the Good American style at #5 and the diagonal hem on paid #9 is a flattering hem on every body.
6. I bought this sweater because I liked the slight bell sleeves. It's a beautiful quality sweater and the back of it is a silky blouse material. I plan on doing a front-tuck in my denim with my new slides.
10. I have a lot of watches, but mostly of the bling bling type. I want just a classic, leather band style in a great cognac color. This Rebecca Minkoff watch is refreshing with a narrow face.

Stay tuned for outfit remixes!

Blouse: Free People / Skirt: Chicwish / Booties: Jeffrey Campbell / Hobo: Rebecca Minkoff / Lipstick: MAC Smoked Purple / Hat: Nordstrom / Sunnies: Nordstrom / Jacket: Rotita /

Ah fall. The styling possibilities are endless. What I'm loving lately is a look that isn't too trendy and involves great investment pieces that can be recycled in your wardrobe year after year. I've always loved the balance between ultra-feminine and edgy pieces, and this street style look makes me feel like I'm in #Girlboss mode crossing busy streets in NYC.

A lace blouse, a swingy, floral skirt and tough add-on's are my favorite kind of fashion formula!

Bell Sleeves & Boho Vibes

Sep 19, 2016

Dress: Forever 21 / Hat: Nordstrom / Booties: Dolce Vita / Bag: Rebecca Minkoff / Jewlery: Bauble Bar / Nail Polish: Zoya 'Casey'

Another fabulous, pre-fall look that I can't wait to layer up come chilly temps. My love for boho style can be seen throughout all the seasons in my outfits, so when it comes time to layer up, I will add on a suede moto jacket, a fringe bag, and my brown suede knee-high boots that lace up the front for a boho-licious look. Another way I will style this is with a long sweater, lace-up flats and a hat! Bell sleeves are a huge trend this fall, and while the boho look is pretty much always in, this year I'll be channeling a chic, laid-back '70's prairie-rocker chic vibe.

Craving fall and all it's layering glory, I will be putting together a collage of the standard pieces I go to for my fall wardrobe, coming soon!

Transitioning a LBD for fall

Sep 9, 2016

Vest: Target / Booties: Dolce Vita / Dress: Old Navy / Necklace: Nordstrom / Earrings: Brighton /
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff / Ring: Bauble Bar

So I think my cat swiped my camera's sd card and is hoarding it wherever she hides her fortunes. Hence, the not so great quality of my pics since they were taken on the good 'ol iPhone. You know those artsy commercials from Apple with the cool music showing videos and photos taken on the iPhone that are legit amazing? Yeah I never got that memo.

I digress. Still on a kick with this vest and booties from Target, since they are literally THE perfect summer to fall transition pieces. This summer was all about the Kardashian-inspired body-con look, and this black knit version is thick enough to be rolled right into some fall layered looks. Black, nude and olive are my favorite neutrals this season. Add on jewelry and accessories with gold details, and you've got a simple yet chic look perfect for anything.

Keep the #nospendseptember challenge going!

Romping in the Gardens

Jun 3, 2016

Romper (in love) // Sandals: Topshop (last season), similar here //
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff // Sunnies: Nordstrom

What a beautiful weekend I had for my birthday. I celebrated it doing the things I love with the people I love. This was our visit to the Cleveland Botanical Gardens, one of my favorite places in University Circle. Of course lunch was in Little Italy after with a stop at Presti's to gorge on my favorite sweets. If you really know me then you know I feel most at peace in the woods, but the gardens have a special place in my heart too.

Welcome Spring!

May 9, 2016

Romper (on sale!) // Shoes (old, Seychelles) // Bag // Jewelry (mix of vintage & Nordstrom)

How much do I love a good one-piece? Ask anyone who knows me, give me a onesie, jumpsuit or romper and I'm a happy girl. From the pj onesie's I own, to the dressy jumpsuits I wear to a wedding or cocktail party, to casual rompers for the summer, there is no easier piece to wear and style! This romper is from Old Navy, and after I ordered it, I was a little worried it wouldn't wear well but I was pleasantly surprised. It fits perfectly and is so cute and flattering. I'm really impressed lately with the standard of products Old Navy has been producing, and when cute pieces like this are on sale, it's too good to pass up. I can't wait to throw on my denim jacket and add some white sneakers for another fun look, but the combinations are endless. For this look I added cognac accessories and piled on silver and blue jewelry (also this matte lip cream from NYX I just got is officially my favorite, it is a bright berry tone). Another thing that I like about one-pieces? They are flattering on all body types, comfortable and blank canvases to style. Find more rompers to love at Old Navy and Lulu's!

Springtime Layers

Apr 26, 2016

Hat: Nordstrom // Cardigan: Target // Dress: Denim & Supply by Ralph Lauren // Lace bralette: Free People // Bag: Rebecca Minkoff // Booties: Lulu's

As soon as I saw this dress hanging in the store, I had to have it. It is the cutest little mini with so many details: pleated darts on the bust, cut-outs in the back, a nipped-in waist and a pretty floral pattern.
This spring and summer I want nothing but chic and polished pieces that I can mix and match together. I definitely got a folksy-boho vibe with look!

Mix & Match with Polished Peices

Mar 16, 2016

Ever been told at 25 that your too old to have your wisdom teeth out? How about at 27 when they start lecturing you that you're pushing 30? Well here's some freaking wisdom for you, DONT WAIT TILL YOUR PUSHING THIRTY TO GET YOUR WISDOM TEETH OUT. Seriously, this is the shits guys, and not in the cool way. I guess my youth is gone, and with that my mouths ability to heal at a normal pace. Balls.

Well while I've been in a not-so-pretty slumber thanks to my good friend Vic, I've at least had the ability to use my hands and put them to use by online shopping (well, window shopping that is). With spring in the air comes that feeling that I want to purge my closet and start anew, this time with grown-up chic pieces that are playful, polished, easy and able to play well with others. Nothing about me is simple, but I am feeling easy silhouettes in light fabrics. While I want to get away from the cutesy looks, I am definitely gravitating towards rompers and jumpsuits this spring that can be layered a bajillion ways for day to night with extras like sneaks, wedges, hats, sunnies, and the perfect moto jacket (obsessed with all things moto jacket). Shop above my current favorite picks!
