Mix & Match Chic

May 29, 2018

I give you the most chic and versatile outfit ever (drum-roll).....

Suit Separates  / Tank (the best!) / Earrings / Bag: Kate Spade / Shoes: Go Jane

Easy-breezy suiting separates! As soon as I saw this blazer and shorts I knew I had to have them, they are different yet tailored and can be mixed and matched with so many pieces. I have a street-style vibe going here, but I cannot wait to rock this look with wedges and a flirty cami for an upcoming bridal shower!

Fashion Formula Lookbook: Re-work Those Track Pants!

Jan 19, 2017

With this weather we've been having and the fact that I've been going out more than ever, I was feeling inspired to share a insta-worthy look that is both sexy and comfy. If you follow celebrity fashion stylist Monica Rose (known for styling today's young super models, the Kardashian's, Selena Gomez, etc.) her aesthetic is layers, soft texture, monochrome colors and sex appeal. Selena wore it best, but why not shake things up and wear those damn track pants out? Easy fashion formula: oversize sweater + track pants + heels = easy, chic, sexy, edgy, etc. Throw on this look with your best confidence and stand out from the crowd.

One dress, Two Ways

Nov 9, 2016

Another easy, fool-proof way to style a midi with black accessories for a chic look. From the last post I simply removed the vest, switched out my accessories and I have another look. I could also have paired this with a fitted, black moto-jacket for colder temps. The possibilities are endless, and yes, short girls can wear midi's!

The two things to keep in mind when styling a midi so you don't get swallowed up is what your layering on top (it's all about length and proportion) and what shoes you are pairing with it. Avoid clunky boots that cut you off at the ankle making your legs look stumpy. Instead, go for a fitted bootie like above, heels, platforms or even flats.

Bell Sleeves & Boho Vibes

Sep 19, 2016

Dress: Forever 21 / Hat: Nordstrom / Booties: Dolce Vita / Bag: Rebecca Minkoff / Jewlery: Bauble Bar / Nail Polish: Zoya 'Casey'

Another fabulous, pre-fall look that I can't wait to layer up come chilly temps. My love for boho style can be seen throughout all the seasons in my outfits, so when it comes time to layer up, I will add on a suede moto jacket, a fringe bag, and my brown suede knee-high boots that lace up the front for a boho-licious look. Another way I will style this is with a long sweater, lace-up flats and a hat! Bell sleeves are a huge trend this fall, and while the boho look is pretty much always in, this year I'll be channeling a chic, laid-back '70's prairie-rocker chic vibe.

Craving fall and all it's layering glory, I will be putting together a collage of the standard pieces I go to for my fall wardrobe, coming soon!

Minimal Chic

Mar 3, 2016

I'm back! phew. It's been a busy month, and now that school is having spring break, I get a tiny one too. So I was scrolling through my notes on my IPhone today, and realized that I have a muy-largo list of blog posts I want to publish, ranging from fashion advice to health to food prepping. I really hope to bunker down one of these weekends and just do it! Of course, school is done in early May, so then I will have more time until summer session starts!

There are so many cute spring pieces coming out lately, and I am in full spring-purchasing mode. While I personally always gravitate towards the boho look in warmer weather, lately I cannot get over chic but minimal body-hugging pieces in neutral tones. These pieces can literally mix and match with so many items already in my closet and probably yours too. It's almost a mini-capsule wardrobe in a way, since these pieces alone can be mixed and matched with each other. And you know me, I'm a shoe girl, and will take new shoes any day over a bag or jewelry so while I am still loving the lace-up's, I also can't take my eyes off of sultry, vampy, strappy soles. Plus whenever I wear them, I always get the same reaction out of my mom, "where's your whip?" Mom, please.
