Top: Target ( A New Day) / Jacket: H&M (kids dept) / Denim: Articles of Society (Nordstrom) / Shoes: Jessica Simpson Collection / Bag: Charming Charlie / Earrings: Bauble Bar

What goes into a blog shoot you ask? Well this particular day started out cold, hence the jacket. By shoot time it was roasting, my feet were numb, I was changing outfits in my car in a busy parking lot, and my hair full on frizzed. Nevertheless, I always love doing a blog shoot.

When I saw this top in Target it was like I got the heart eyes emoji on my face. I'm so small busted that I normally shy away from any type of wrap top (even though I think they are beautiful) but as I was looking at this top, I didn't care. I was thinking about all the items in my own closet that this top would be amazing with, so apologies in advance if you see it lots! It's a flattering, not-too-low wrap, cropped, and a peplum so what's not to love?

The Most Versatile Dress

Oct 21, 2016

Dress: Old Navy / Vest: Derek Lam for Kohls / Booties: Old / Bag: Nordstrom / Earrings: Charming Charlie

Not quite sure why these pictures are so grainy, my camera must've been on the wrong shooting mode.
Anyways, This. Dress. As soon as I got it, a million ways to style it went rushing through my brain, so I will warn in advance that you will see this dress on repeat. Not only is the color perfect for fall/winter, but its long sleeve,  a little billowy and lightweight enough for layering.
My first look? All black dressy add-on's for sweetest day dinner. I've had this vest for years and it is such a great style for layering. And these booties? Velvet dreams I tell you. Just sleek enough to be sexy without being too much.

Can't wait to show other ways to style this, it is definitely a must-have fall staple! Stay tuned!

Dress Up Your Basics

Sep 26, 2016

Dress: Nordstrom BP / Kimono: Wandering Wardrobe CLE / Shoes: Vince Camuto / Hat: Nordstrom / Ring: Bauble Bar / Chain Link Bracelet: Charming Charlie / Gold Bangle: Vintage (my mom's)

When investing in trendier pieces, I always make sure it is a piece that can be worn many ways and if possible, in more than one season. As soon as I saw this kimono, I loved it. It's lightweight but not sheer, has trendy fringe on the hem and the color pattern can be worn with so much. This kimono I plan on layering in the fall, using as an office topper in the winter, wear it as a light spring shawl in the spring, and wear it over something basic to dress it up for an event in the summer. This is just an example of a timeless piece that can grow with me!

PS: my #nospendseptember is still going strong! All of these pieces are last year or older with the exception of the kimono, which I actually found in mid-summer.
