Currently Craving: Vests and Drapey Jackets

I'm a sucker for jackets, not the weather related though, I'm talking about statement toppers. I have a rolling rack color coordinated just of blazers, cropped moto jackets, tailored blazers, collarless ones, embellished, you name it. I guess everyone collects something right? Well that's mine! Ok shoes too. Ok just clothes in general geesh. When I saw the fresh take on lightweight jackets this season with draped lapels, waist cinching rope and a flattering cut, I was obsessed. Add the comeback of the tailored long vest to add some layer and dressiness to an outfit, and I fell in love. Trend alert: my new favorite color combo? Blush pink and olive green. Summer Neutrals

As olive green is my new favorite color for fall, I am slowwwly working it into my late-summer wardrobe as a transition color. Olive goes great with lots of colors, but becomes an easy neutral when paired with white and khaki. And yes, the colors in the print on this top I just got from Nordstrom is olive green, navy and cream! And how amazing are these gray booties? They are Vince inspired, for a quarter of the cost, and can be worn spring through fall (which is probably more than the thick black leather version Vince offers). Another color I'm loving this pre-fall combined with olive green is blush pink, and this handbag is just the right shade for a lovely mix of neutrals!
